Mini Maltipoo Puppies For Sale

About the Mini Maltipoo

The Mini Maltipoo crosses the Maltese with the Toy Poodle, producing a smaller version of one of the most popular small companion crosses. It carries the Maltese's gentle affection and the Poodle's intelligence and hypoallergenic coat in a package small enough for any home. It is a strong fit for apartment dwellers, seniors, and families wanting a portable, low-shedding lap dog.

Temperament

Mini Maltipoos are affectionate, gentle, and playful, with an eagerness to please that makes them easy to train. They are typically good with children who handle them gently and with other pets, and they are friendly with strangers. They are people-focused lap dogs that want to be close to their family and can develop separation anxiety and barking habits if left alone for long stretches.

Size and Weight

The Mini Maltipoo is a very small dog. Height runs 8 to 12 inches and weight runs 5 to 12 lbs.

Because both parent breeds are small, adult size is fairly predictable. Teacup Maltipoos, bred below this range, carry added fragility.

Grooming

The coat ranges from soft and wavy to curly and is hypoallergenic in the sense that it sheds very little. Brush several times weekly to prevent matting and schedule professional grooming every four to six weeks. Eyes should be wiped daily to manage tear staining, which is common in white-coated dogs, and ears cleaned routinely. Small mouths make dental care especially important.

Health

Mini Maltipoos can inherit patellar luxation, Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, tracheal collapse, progressive retinal atrophy, epilepsy, and dental crowding and periodontal disease. White shaker syndrome, a tremor condition, occurs in some Maltese lines. Very small puppies are prone to hypoglycemia and need regular meals. Recommended parent testing includes patella evaluation, eye clearances, and DNA screening for PRA.

Exercise and Living Space

Mini Maltipoos have modest exercise needs, met by short daily walks and indoor play. They are excellent apartment dogs and should live indoors with the family. Because of their small size they should be handled gently and supervised around young children and larger dogs.

Lifespan

Typical lifespan is 12 to 16 years. Dental care, weight control, and gentle handling support a long life.

Why Families Love Mini Maltipoos

The Mini Maltipoo is the tiniest variety of the beloved Maltipoo, a cross between the Maltese and the Miniature or Toy Poodle. These incredibly small, hypoallergenic dogs typically weigh just 4 to 8 pounds, making them one of the most petite and portable companion breeds available. Despite their tiny size, Mini Maltipoos have enormous hearts filled with love and affection for their families. Their soft, fluffy, low-shedding coats come in a range of beautiful colors including white, cream, apricot, and silver, and their teddy-bear faces with dark, round eyes make them virtually impossible to resist. Mini Maltipoos are gentle, sweet-natured, and utterly devoted to their human companions.

Tiny Size, Enormous Devotion

Mini Maltipoos are the perfect companion for anyone seeking a small dog with a huge capacity for love. These gentle little dogs thrive in small spaces and are ideally suited for apartment living, condos, and homes where space is at a premium. They are wonderfully adaptable, happy to join you on errands, travel in a carrier, or simply curl up in your lap for hours of quiet companionship. Mini Maltipoos are hypoallergenic, making them excellent for allergy sufferers, and their low-energy, calm demeanor makes them perfect for seniors, singles, and small families who want a devoted companion without the demands of a high-energy breed.
