Puppy Financing with Affirm
Best Puppies LLC accepts Affirm as a flexible way to finance your puppy. You pay us with the Affirm Card — a free virtual Visa that lives inside the Affirm app and works anywhere Visa is accepted. Please don't search for our business name in the Affirm store directory, because we are not listed there. Everything you need happens inside the app, and the whole process takes just a few minutes.
Step-by-step: Pay for your puppy with Affirm
- Download the Affirm app and sign up — takes about 2 minutes.
- Apply for the free Affirm Card in the app. It's a virtual Visa card that lives in your phone.
- When you're ready to pay, open the app, go to the Card tab, and tap "Request a payment plan."
- Enter your total purchase amount including tax. If you enter too little, the card can decline and you'd have to request a new plan.
- Choose your payment plan — options range from 4 interest-free payments to longer monthly plans.
- Pay us with your Affirm Card within 2 hours. The plan expires after 2 hours, so only request it when you're ready to pay. Tap to pay in person, or give us the card number over the phone.
Some customers open the Card tab and see "Check for purchasing power at select stores" instead of a "Request a payment plan" button. That means Affirm hasn't given you an open spending amount and will only approve you at their partner retailers — we won't appear on that list. This is Affirm's decision and it isn't permanent; they re-evaluate over time. If you see that screen, don't worry — use one of the options below instead.
Other ways to finance your puppy
These apps work the same way as the Affirm Card: you download the app, request an amount, and they issue you a virtual card you use to pay us. Each one approves differently, so if one turns you down, another may approve you.
Approval, terms, rates, and spending limits are decided entirely by each of these companies. We have no involvement in their decisions and no ability to influence them.
Paying with more than one card
You're welcome to split your payment across multiple credit or debit cards, including cards belonging to family members. A few things to know first: every name and address on a card used will appear on the invoice, and anyone whose card is used is considered a co-owner of the puppy. Any co-owner who isn't present in person will receive an invoice by email to sign electronically or by hand, along with a copy of their ID and card.
An unused Affirm payment plan expires after 2 hours, so if you request one and don't pay inside that window you'll have to start over with a new plan. Call us before that happens and we'll walk you through it live.
A few things to know
Affirm decides your spending amount, plan length, and rate based on their own review — Best Puppies LLC has no involvement in that decision. When you pay with your Affirm Card, we run it like any other Visa card payment.
