About Jug Puppies

Why Families Love Jugs

The Jug is a playful and sturdy cross between the Jack Russell Terrier and the Pug, combining the terrier's boundless energy and athletic ability with the Pug's gentle, loving nature and irresistible charm. This designer breed has captured the hearts of families across America with its unique blend of spunk and sweetness. Jugs are known for their friendly, outgoing personalities and their remarkable ability to adapt to various living situations and family dynamics. They are social dogs that thrive on human companionship and bring a contagious joy to every interaction, whether they are playing in the yard or cuddling on the couch.

Jug Build & Family Life

Jugs typically weigh between 12 and 18 pounds, making them a compact yet sturdy companion that is both robust enough for active play and small enough for comfortable apartment living. Their short, smooth coat requires minimal grooming and comes in a variety of colors including fawn, black, and white combinations. Jugs inherit the best physical traits of both parents, a slightly longer muzzle than the Pug that can improve breathing, combined with the muscular, athletic build of the Jack Russell. They are energetic and playful, enjoying games, walks, and interactive activities, but they also possess the Pug's love of relaxation and cuddle time.
