About Dorkie Puppies

Why Families Love Dorkies

The Dorkie is an irresistible cross between the Dachshund and the Yorkshire Terrier, combining two of the most popular small breeds into one captivating companion. This designer breed inherits the Dachshund's curious, adventurous spirit and the Yorkshire Terrier's bold, confident personality, creating a tiny dog with a heart full of courage and affection. Dorkies are known for their unwavering loyalty to their owners and their playful, entertaining antics that keep the whole family laughing. Despite their small size, they possess a surprising amount of energy and personality that makes every day with them an adventure.

Dorkie Size & Personality

Dorkies typically weigh between 5 and 12 pounds, making them an ideal choice for apartment living and smaller homes. Their coat can vary depending on which parent they take after, ranging from the Dachshund's short, smooth coat to the Yorkie's silky, low-shedding fur. Regardless of coat type, Dorkies are generally low-shedding dogs that are manageable for allergy-conscious families. They are intelligent and curious, always eager to explore their surroundings and engage with their favorite people. Their compact size combined with their bold terrier personality makes them wonderful travel companions and perfect partners for anyone seeking a loyal, portable, and endlessly entertaining little dog.
